SMT: El futuro de la monetización en Internet
Imagina que todas las redes sociales tengan una moneda interna, así como Steemit.com tiene el Steem; imagina que sitios como Taringa, Youtube o incluso tu propio sitio web puedan compensar a sus usuarios por el tiempo que invierten en el portal, de la misma forma en que Steemit premia a sus autores y lectores por el tiempo y esfuerzo que dedican a su plataforma, además de ofrecer transacciones gratuitas e instantáneas. Afortunadamente existen comunidades de desarrolladores que están haciendo todo esto posible, el CEO de Steemit Ned Scott, @ned, acaba de lanzar el primer sistema que permitirá a cualquier comunidad de internet crear su propia criptodivisa para premiar a sus usuarios por el trabajo que inviertan en dichas comunidades. Éste sistema se llama Smart Media Tokens (Sistema Inteligente de generación de Monedas en Medios Digitales), como explica @joseph [2]:
Ahora las empresas podrán lanzar sus aplicaciones en el sistema blockchain de Steem con sus propias monedas. Los desarrolladores ahora podrán emitir Ofertas Iniciales de Monedas ICO [por sus siglas en inglés] e incluso crear sus unidades de incentivos.
Éste es un evento histórico para la comunidad de Steemit que busca independizar a los autores de contenidos digitales del control de la industria publicitaria, dándole valor al contenido no como un medio para generar ingresos mediante anuncios publicitarios, sino como un fin en sí mismo.
