¡TAXI! ¿De dónde viene?
Todos la decimos pero... ¿Sabemos de dónde viene?
"Taxi" una palabra que todos decimos y sabemos para qué se utiliza, pero...
¿De dónde proviene esta peculiar palabra?
No es una palabra como "bicicleta" que podrias relacionar con 2 ciclos (bi-ciclo), o como "televisor" con visión. Es simplemente algo que algunos usamos todos los días, una vez al mes, o alguna vez en la vida.
Taxi, es una palabra que no distingue idiomas, puesto que, en todos los países (o casi todos) se usa y significa lo mismo.
¿Qué otras palabras no distinguen entre idiomas?
¡Exacto! ¡Los nombres y apellidos! De ahí proviene esta palabra
Investigando sobre ello me dí cuenta de que no hay información muy concreta sobre el tema... No hay una historia que sea igual en ninguna página.
Según ciertas páginas web y algunos libros, este término proviene de "taxímetro" sobre el cual tambien hay información incierta, algunos dicen que lo ideó el ingeniero alemán Wilhelm Bruhn en 1891 otros nombran al francés Juan Fernel y otros también dicen que fué Louis Renault el que lo inventó.
!Es sorprendente! ¿Cómo un término que parecía tener una historia tan sencilla como su nombre tuviera tanta controversia detrás?
En lo personal, la historía que mas me convenció fue la de Franz von Taxis que en 1504 instauró la primera línea de coches de posta entre Holanda y Francia, y que en su pasado tuvo pleno control sobre el sistema postal.
Me parece algo ilógico que el término taxi apareciera luego de ser inventado el taxímetro ya que es un término que se usaba antes, aunque no estuve vivo en ese entonces para corroborarlo, jaja.
En fín, me pareció interesante y pensé que a ustedes tambien les interesaría.
