El 29 de mayo se cumple un año desde la creación de la cuenta oficial que fue el paso final para el nacimiento de La Colmena como comunidad. Hace siete meses publicamos la última actualización de nuestro proyecto. Por esas dos razones y por el hecho de que tenemos alguna información importante, consideramos la necesidad de publicar esta nueva actualización el día de hoy.

En casi una año de trabajo constante y dedicado, La Colmena se ha convertido en una de las comunidades de curación en español más respetadas de la plataforma Steem. Sin duda este es el resultado de una labor incansable y desinteresada de un equipo, que aunque vive cambios en sus integrantes, siempre mantiene el espíritu que hizo surgir nuestra propuesta, el de enseñar a curar a nuevos usuarios y a brindarle el más grande apoyo posible a la comunidad hispano parlante de Steemit.
Nuestro canal de Discord ya cuenta con casi 600 miembros y sigue en aumento. Y estos seguros que dentro de poco este número aumentará de manera considerable, con las programaciones semanales que vamos a empezar a realizar.
A pesar de que nuestra intención era bajar el porcentaje de nuestro voto para aumentar el número de autores votados, decidimos mantenerlo en 100% para contrarrestar el bajo precio del Steem y poder brindar a los usuarios el voto con el más alto valor posible. Por esa razón continuamos votando únicamente 10 publicaciones al día, excepto en los momentos en que el VP nos permite votar algunas publicaciones adicionales.
Sin embargo, en los últimos tiempos y debido a que la mayoría de los integrantes del equipo de La Colmena nos encontramos en Venezuela y en el país hemos tenido problemas serios con el suministro eléctrico, no hemos podido cumplir las metas semanales. Pero es importante resaltar que es una situación anómala que se nos presenta por vez primera y que ya lo hemos venido superando.
Excepto por esos casos puntuales, la actividad de nuestra comunidad tiene más de nueve meses completamente estable y continua.
Una de las noticias importantes que traemos es la presentación de nuestro sitio web la-colmena.ml. Este espacio lo hemos venido convirtiendo en el eje central de toda nuestra información como comunidad. Allí hemos empezado a publicar todos los documentos importantes de la comunidad, como su introducción y allí también iremos colocando todas las actualizaciones.

Pero más allá de eso, queremos publicar allí, y ya hemos empezado a hacerlo, todas las estadísticas de nuestra labor comunitaria, todas las cifras que resultan de nuestras curaciones y de otras actividades que vayamos realizando. En ese espacio ya se pueden ver semanalmente el inventario de votos de la semana anterior, así como la lista de posiciones de los curadores, respecto a su desempeño en la semana previa también, la lista de autores votados. Tareas estas que son posibles gracias al desarrollo tecnológico del sistema que hemos elaborado para tal tarea.
¡Ya llevamos allí más de 2500 líneas de código!
En este sitio hemos desarrollado un sistema que nos permite automatizar el voto, dejar el comentario de La Colmena en la publicación, hacer “follow” al autor, a la vez que va llevando registro de cada voto y comprobando la labor de los curadores, así como los autores y las publicaciones postuladas. El sistema evita que se puedan postular publicaciones hechas por autores que se encuentran en la lista negra y tampoco permite votar posts que superen el límite establecido por nuestra comunidad. Es allí donde de manera automática ahora se generan las estadísticas mencionadas y podemos seguir desarrollando nuevas aplicaciones.
Allí mismo tenemos la herramienta que nos permite elaborar en solo segundos, la muestra de autores que publica diariamente @el-panal, con los tres posts más destacados. Para la publicación definitiva usamos el plugin de @steempress, ya que las muestras se publican en ese sitio con Wordpress.
Aunque hay algunos datos almacenados con fechas anteriores, el sistema toma el 15 de abril de 2019 como el punto de partida del programa, por lo que todos los datos generados en el sistema son después de esa fecha.

Entre nuestros próximos proyectos a nivel tecnológico está la integración del antes mencionado sistema con un bot de Discord, para combinar ambas herramientas y así facilitar toda la gestión administrativa del proceso de registro y votación de las publicaciones.
Actualmente tenemos 19 curadores en La Colmena, de los cuales no todos están activos. Unas de nuestra metas es sincerar esa cifra y que tengamos aproximadamente esa cantidad de manera permanente, pero todos activos. Con ese objetivo vamos a empezar en poco tiempo, un sistema de premiación a los curadores que obtengan mejores resultados, basados en el logaritmo desarrollado por @curie para la evaluación de esa tarea.
Así mismo aspiramos a completar un equipo de cuatro moderadores, que son las personas que supervisan el trabajo y el desempeño de los curadores, son los que tienen acceso al sistema en línea para registrar y realizar los votos, asó como para elaborar las muestras de autores.
Una de las formas de apoyar el trabajo que nosotros realizamos en La Colmena es apoyar con tu voto permanente, la muestra de autores que día a día publica la cuenta @el-panal y que es la cuenta de donde saldrán los fondos para la premiación de los curadores y para generarle una recompensa al equipo de moderadores.
Razón por la cual, una forma adicional de apoyar nuestro proyecto es brindar ese voto diario.
No queremos cerrar esta actualización sin mencionar antes a quienes han venido prestando su apoyo a La Colmena, destacando ante todo a @curie, quien nos mantiene como su subcomunidad en español y le da el peso principal a nuestro voto al seguirnos con su trail.

The 29th of May marks one year since the creation of the official account that was the final step for the birth of La Colmena as a community. Seven months ago we published the latest update of our project. For those two reasons and for the fact that we have some important information, we consider the need to publish this new update today.
In almost a year of constant and dedicated work, La Colmena has become one of the most respected Spanish curation communities on the Steem platform. Undoubtedly, this is the result of a tireless and disinterested work of a team, which although changes its members, always maintains the spirit that gave rise to our proposal, to teach to cure new users and to provide the greatest possible support to the Spanish speaking community of Steemit.
Our Discord channel has already almost 600 members and continues to grow. And surely this number will increase considerably in a short time, with the weekly activitie that we are going to start soon.
Although our intention was to lower the percentage of our vote to increase the number of upvoted authors, we decided to keep it at 100% to counteract the low price of Steem and be able to offer users the vote with the highest value possible. For that reason we continue voting only 10 publications a day, except at times when the VP allows us to vote some additional publications.
However, in recent times and due to the fact that most of the members of the La Colmena team are in Venezuela and in the country we have had serious problems with the electricity supply, we have not been able to meet the weekly goals. But it is important to highlight that it is an anomalous situation that is presented to us for the first time and that we have already overcome.
Except for those specific cases, the activity of our community has more than nine months completely stable and continuous.
One of the important news we bring today is the introduction of our website la-colmena.ml. We have been turning this space into the central axis of all our information as a community. There we have started to publish all the important documents of the community, as its introduction and there we will also be placing all the updates.

But beyond that, we want to publish there, and we have already begun to do so, all the statistics of our community work, all the figures that result from our cures and other activities that we are carrying out. In this space you can see weekly the inventory of votes from the previous week, as well as the list of positions of the curators, regarding their performance in the previous week as well, the list of upvoted authors. These tasks are possible thanks to the technological development of the system we have made for this goal.
We already have more than 2500 lines of code there.
In this site we have developed a system that allows us to automate the vote, leave the comment of La Colmena in the post, follow the author, while keeping record of each vote and checking the work of the curators, as well as the authors and the postulated posts. The system prevents postings made by authors who are on the blacklist and doesn't allow the upvote on posts that exceed the limit established by our community. There is it where the statistics mentioned above are automatically generated and we can continue to develop new applications.
Right there we have the tool that allows us to create in just seconds, the authors showcase that publishes daily @el-panal, with the three more prominent posts of a day. For the final publication we use the @steempress plugin, since the showcases are published on that site with Wordpress.
Although there is some data stored with previous dates, the system takes April 15, 2019 as the starting point of the program, so all data generated in the system is after that date.

Among our next projects at the technological level is the integration of the aforementioned system with a Discord bot, to combine both tools and thus facilitate all the administrative management of the registration and upvoting process.
Currently we have 19 curators at La Colmena, of which not all are active. One of our goals is to turn that figure in a reallity and that we have approximately that permanently amount, but all active. With that goal in mind we are going to start in a short time, a system of rewards to the curators that obtain better results, based on the logarithm developed by @curie for the evaluation of that task.
Likewise we aspire to complete a team of four moderators, who are the people who supervise the work and the performance of the curators, who have access to the online system to register and cast the votes, as well as to prepare the author's showcases .
One of the ways to support the work that we do in La Colmena is to support with your permanent vote, the showcases that every day publishes the account @el-panal and that is the account of where the funds for the awarding of the curators and to generate a reward for the team of moderators will go.
Reason why, an additional way to support our project is to provide that daily vote.
We do not want to end this update without mentioning those who have been lending their support to La Colmena, highlighting above all @curie, who keeps us as their sub-community in Spanish and gives the main weight to our vote by following us with their trail.
