¡Hola, chic@s!. \m/ //.~

Hi, guys!. \m/ //.~

So ... Let's play! 😎

Did you know ... Sunday is the seventh day of the calendar week in most Spanish-speaking countries. Internationally, the ISO 8601 standard of 2004 established that the week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday, considering it, in this way, the last day of the weekly calculation. However, Sunday is the first day of the liturgical week in the Christian tradition, as it is in other cultural traditions.
It comes from the Latin 'dominus' which translates as Sir. Its meaning is 'consecrated to the Lord', that is why the day of the week under the name Sunday is the day dedicated to God, the day of the Lord?.

Some curiosities about Sunday: 😮

• This day is considered a holiday or holiday in most countries of the world and is part of the weekend, but in countries influenced by Islamic or Jewish culture have Friday or Saturday as the weekly holiday.

• The Gregorian calendar repeats itself every 400 years and no century begins on Sunday. The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday.

• It is a day to rest, among other things, because on March 7, 321, Emperor Constantine declared that it would be a civil day of rest in the cities and in the fields.

• Originally, every day they had names of celestial objects, and Sunday was called Solis dies by the Sun.

Well, if your name is Domingo, or know someone who has it by name ... Here I leave some facts about it ...:

It is of Latin origin, in its Spanish aspect. It is common in Spanish-speaking countries, especially in Spain, Mexico and Argentina.
The people called Domingo are characterized as creative, original, curious people, lovers of challenges, and tend to conquer them with a minimum of effort; They are also temperamental.

Their saint is celebrated on 3 different days throughout the year:

  • On August 8, Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
  • May 12, Santo Domingo de la Calzada.
  • May 6, Santo Domingo Savio.
