El 19 de Septiembre del año 1.928, Walt Disney estrena la primera película sonora de dibujos animados llamada “Steamboat Willie“.

En la mencionada película, aparece el célebre ratón Mickey Mouse que Disney creó un año antes. El film de corta duración fue un éxito, en Mayo de ese mismo año Disney había producido un filme llamado “Plane Crazy”, el cual carecía de sonido y no tuvo ninguna repercusión y no obtuvo el triunfo que se esperaba.

Hoy en día Disney es una de las empresas mas grandes e importantes de dibujos animados, realizando más de 100 producciones animadas de Mickey Mouse, y es valorada en casi de 170.000 millones de dólares, según Forbes.
