El Jardín Botánico de Rio de Janeiro
Ubicado al norte de las hermosas zonas residenciales de Ipanema y Leblon, este lugar me cautivó desde el primer momento.
Apartado del típico bullicio de una ciudad súper activa como Rio de Janeiro, el Jardín Botánico te ofrece una pausa para observar la naturaleza y relajarte, no importa si no te llama la atención conocer la flora y sus extraños nombres científicos, te aseguro que disfrutarás enormemente este bello sitio.
Según leí, el origen de este Jardín Botánico data de 1808, y fue un encargo del príncipe regente en aquella época en Brasil Dom Joâo.
El Jardín Botánico de Rio de Janeiro tiene una enorme colección de plantas que sobrepasa las 8 mil especies, además de algunos animales como monos y peces que hacen vida en sus espacios. Cuenta también con colección biológica, bibliográfica y museológica.
En el lago de los nenúfares también hay peces...
Mientras paseaba por el lugar me encontré con árboles de todos los tamaños, y sin duda este fue el más grande, por lo que decidí tomarme una foto con él.
