Sparkster part I: "A hidden gem or just another coin to avoid at all costs?"

So there you have it lads. The very first coin I'll be covering in my ICO series is "Sparkster". Tremendously anticipated in the crypto space. Yet, a project that also rise some doubs. In this first article of mini series I will be adressing issues as what is Sparkster, is it worth investing our hard earned money and what makes it so special.

Let's get down to it.

What is Sparkster?

Sparkster aim is to create an unique tool enabling people with no coding expertise to build custom decentralized applications, or DApps. They've managed to do that through an untterly intuitive drag-and-drop styled interface, individuals and businesses can build their very own DApps with plain english puzzle-like commands rather than vague coding methods.

To cut the long story short , Sparkster team intention is to be what Wordpress is to building websites for creating DApps.

The whole ecosystem shall be powered by the Sparkster Decentralized Cloud, which main goal is to allow Smart Software to be executed at very high velocity (even for the blockchain) for a comparatively lower cost than legacy systems.

As in the case of many other platforms, the goal is simple: increase the speed, descrease the cost.

Two main advantages Sparkster will brong to the table are:

1. Faster app development is evident with Sparkster's use of a puzzle-like drag-adn-drop Plain English code system to replace the typical code syntax
2. Reduction in cost of app development compared to using traditional human resources (developers)

And must I say, the team is pretty impressive with their plans and the roadmap to achieve it.

The reason I decided to take a look at the Sparkster at the first place was the hype around the project. I have not seen faster groing community in ay other ICO's. It is a huge advantage in case of any ICO, as a great idea and a tech are not the biggest ingredients of a success in crypto world. Many people buy into the hype. The bigger the hype the bigger returns from ICO.

Allright, I admit. I am a tremendously fussy investor.
I was not as keen as a mustard when I first saw Sparkster.
However, I started looking deeper and deeper into the project it appeared to be a reasonable investment to consider.
Reasons?

1. The idea.
   Simply brilliant.
   Beauty lies in simplicity and Sparkster main goal to make it all simple.

2. Working product.
   They do have a working bloody product. And, oh boy, what a pleasant experience it was texting it.
   I am no programmer whatsoever. However, going throught the tutorial I managed to make a simple trustless transaction system within few minutes.

3. Sparkster have already shown 50,000 TPS in a live demo, with a hefty target of 10 million on the roadmap.

4. The team (this one actually is and advantage and disadvantage as the same time)

• 15 years of experience in building and managing multimillion-dollar companies ($ 50+ million)
• CEO at Printerpix
• Technical Support Engineer in CISCO

VP Technology - Amit Kumar

• 20+ years experience in the IT sector across industries
• senior development manager at Wipro Technologies (workforce of over 160k)
• development of SaaS.

Project consultants - Gary Leavens

• holds the Chair of Computer Science from the University of Central Florida
• vast experience in research and programming languages
• received his Ph.D. made at the MIT in 1989

Project consultants - Juan Albelo

• works as SAP’s Head of HCM Sales
• worked for Oracle, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, SunGard, and PeopleFluent.

1. Community
   The sparkster Telegram group consist of over 57000 member and still growing.
   I have never seen such a supportive admins, they kindly answer every inquiries and provide help necessary in the ICO sale process. The information provided is pristine. There are no shady misconcepionts around or bans for "inconvenient questions".

2. Proof of love
   No bloody idea why many ICO's are purely based on lottery or some dutch auctions etc.
   Sparkster team decided to strongly reward those who support the team.
   To get to the whitelist you need to win the lottery (25% of the participants) or give a proof of love to the project (75% f the participants) by helping the project to grow, finding bugs, testing the product ect.
   Pretty much, to get to the whitelist you need to complete a walkthrough for their beta version of the product (and that gives you enough points to participate in the whitelist - in the part 3 of my Sparkster series I will guide through it)

Disadvantages:

1. The biggest one is that the team lacks the experience in the blockchain technology

Conclusion
Well, there you have it.
Taking all into a consideration, I believe Sparkster is worth giving a shout. I will be participating in their crowdsale.
From the investor perspective, with all the hype Sparkster gets it seems to be a great opportunity for a short term flip. perhaps even a longer term hold.
As long as the team can pull off what they are promising to deliver this might be an interesting project to look into.
