Very large tarantula crossing the Generals Highway

Very cool to drive up on such a large spider 🕷 on the Generals Highway. We were maybe a mile inside the Sequoia National Park when we pulled up on this arachnid.

He was much larger than the palm of my hand and he could be spotted several meters away.

We actually drove over him on our return trip and he had survived the few dozen cars that had crossed his path.

I’m @runridefly, and I’m glad the tarantula made it safely across the highway.
