RE: RIFFVLOG ON CLIMATE EMERGENCY (PICKPOCKET/FAGAN).

I need to park a comment here:
There's phenomenological love (if I may phrase it like that) perhaps a connection with one's highest self, but even this connection gets mired in delusion if it isn't connected to a social praxis. The church in the Book of Acts understood this as do many other alternate Christian communities throughout the Christian age.
Capitalism in its present form is antithetical to true love enacting a praxis. True Godly love doesn't seek to profit from one's brothers and sisters, or at least unnecessarily so. All true Christian communities refrain from this type of behavior and things like primitive accumulation (an idea Marx was right about), rent-seeking, and coercion and exploitation of another human's basic needs.
This is why I argue for taking four areas off-market systems in my Four Pillars of a New Earth Commons...If the capitalist system could make this adjustment it could align itself with the universal praxis of love. We would need two economies for this to work: one a residential 'steady-state' economy funded by a Social-Credit (a non-debt means of exchange) combined with a new education model focusing on self-sufficiency in food supply on the community level combined with self-actualization teachings (human potential); meanwhile the commercial capitalist economy could carry on doing things its good at.
I find this a compromise between Marx and Smith and it deals with the realities of today's situation
and it's also trying to make things voluntary as possible. So no murdering the elite capitalists-- only enacting healthy boundaries on them.
Having said that, this trajectory of this current system likely can't be stopped and we'll all have to deal with the coming disasters ahead of us in the not too distant future.
