MAKING A HEALTHY CHOICE.

Do you experience emptiness in your spirituality and your walk with God? Then this message is for you.

Most times we are too busy with our daily life issues that we careless how we eat our spiritual food and what we take as spiritual food and when we take them.

Remember, I mentioned three (3) things here; how we eat, what we eat, and when we eat.

Spiritual food is more important than our physical need for food, spiritual starvation is eternally dangerous but many has delegated choicely junk to their souls and yet busy trying to put good meals on their physical tables.

Let’s see how the scriptures explain those three issues about our spiritual food. I will start with what we eat particularly in this post.

WHAT WE EAT

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

John 6:32-33, 41-42, 60, 66

Many Christian folks might not know that Jesus alone is the spiritual food that God has prepared for them because if they knew, I doubt if we can still have this great multitude claiming to be Christians.

Ignorance of this truth has weakened some members of the body of Christ that they allow all kinds of junk food, poisons and idolatry in the church. I could remember a question that a young man asked us in our meeting place few years back, he was invited to our meeting but after several meetings, he opened up to ask, and he said “why do you people always talk about Christ alone in all your meetings and in your teachings, don’t you have anything else to talk about like marriage, breakthrough, prosperity messages?”

And I was saddened to see that this young man left us because we didn’t accommodate his delight in the menu.

That’s how it is in so many men inspired churches, these men are quick to open churches without being sent by Christ, rather they’re motivated by earthly gain, they go length and miles to make membership and afterward makes them twice the sons of wrath and and the sons of hell!

But Jesus made it clear that him alone remains the only bread that can give life everlasting, if you’re reading this steemit post now and you still found yourself where so many types of food is being served that is not Jesus, then you must run for your dear life.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 2 Peter 2:1-3

These are the least that apostle Peter says about these false teachers, but I thank God that this is a time of illumination, God has opened his gates of great true light to shine and to expose darkness parading the whole place in our generation, it didn’t start today, Satan has been in the business of sowing corruption in the field of God.

This is not the time t defend them assuming you’re still with such people, this is the time to separate yourself from them in other to gain your life and escape the judgment of God on them that has forsaken their sure mercy.

Jesus is our true manna.

Not like physical food that the nutritionist would advice you to take varieties of them, Jesus has the fullness of God in him, every thing that our spirit and souls need is in Christ alone.

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Philippians 3:1-3.
