We're involved in a process in which this dance of acceleration and complexification is fragmenting our psyches, it's fragmenting our culture, it's fragmenting our families, it's fragmenting our very being. And yet, in response to that crisis of fragmentation, the inherent wholeness of being is reasserting itself like an immune response. And that's what arises in our hearts: We want to make things better. We want to be of benefit. We want to restore integrity. Those motives are very healthy. Wholeness wants to have its say.
And that is more at the heart of this...I see this revolution, it's going on in every one of us. You are constantly being distracted. You live a big chunk of your life, as we all do, in a virtual world, and our attention's getting fragmented by a thousand different factors.
And what is it that is just naturally attracted to wholeness? That is naturally attracted back into health and integrity? That which wants to be the change that is obviously so necessary in our world? Those are going to be able to come alive, like, in your friendships. Every friendship can become more genuinely deep and vulnerable and affectionate and dynamic and catalytic. Every conversation, every organization.
An integral revolution is upon us. I call it "integral" because it's taking place in every heart, in every relationship, in every organization, in every nation, in every culture, and it's got to do with this crisis of fragmentation being countered by the inherent wholeness of being.
