SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - FULFILLED, OR ARE HEAVEN & EARTH STILL HERE?

in #spirituality5 years ago

Why would He say a thing like that?

When Jesus says that He did not come to destroy the law, many people that "fulfill" means something very similar to destroy, since destroying something removes it, gets rid of it, or eliminates it.

Moreover, Jesus says, "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled," and everyone seems to overlook heaven and earth passing away and only focus on the word "fulfilled." What's going on here?

Our family just read those two verses last night. Great job with the video. Those two verses in Mathew 5 along with Mathew 7:21-23 are what woke me up to the understanding that Gods laws are still just as valid today as ever. Keep the videos coming;)

Those verses in Matthew are some of the most scary ones in the Bible. To think of the many wonderful things people were doing in His name only to be told "depart from me"...why would they have to go? They have to because they had no relationship with the Father because they refused to follow all of His perfect instructions...

Psalm 19:7
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

Moreover, how are people discerning that this is supposedly just referencing the “ceremonial” laws? Because it doesn’t say which law, it just says the law.

.....but.....but....Paul said!

Yes he also said....
Romans 3:31 - "Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law."

Romans 7:12 - "Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good."

Romans 7:22 - "For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. "

Acts 24:14 - "But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. "

Don't forget Romans 8 though, this one is my current favorite.

"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Romans 8:7

Yeah, how about that?

Yeah that is a good one....this one as well as many others could have been used but I didn't want to use them all up at one time! :-)

I decided to look up that word fulfill to see what it means, here is what I found...

This same "fulfill" is also used in Matthew 3:15 "But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him." My question is does this mean that righteousness is now been done away with to? Because if what you are saying is true then the modern church by using the same word "fulfill" would have to say that Jesus had done away with righteousness too!

Yup, all righteousness is now done away with... LOL - I saw that one before too, didn't bring it up in the vdeo, but good point! Thanks for putting it here.

Well you could always put it in a future video if need be! Shalom Brother!
