On this day, some Christians observe Gabriel's visitation to Mary with the Feast of the Annunciation.
Annunciation, in Latin, means "to bring news". In Luke 1:26–39, Gabriel makes the announcement of Christ’s birth to Mary. The Quran (holy book in Islam), interestingly, mentions the Annunciation, calling Him only an honored person who will be near to Allah in this present world and the hereafter.
