Focus and Concentration

Today I woke up and I though I had no dreams! Well, at least I wasn't able to recall absolutely anything. I also didn't wake up after 4 hours of sleep naturally.

I ditched the alarm since I don't think it's healthy, so I expect to wake up naturally after 4 hours of sleep by drinking some water before going to bed.

The thing is... It might work, but currently my body is absorbing all the water and I don't want to pee at all. I drink so much. But, that happens because I'm currently fasting.

It has been almost 48 hours since I've ate anything. So, I assume that my body is trying to hold on to all the water that I drink.

I'll try to fast until Sunday. I did have a lot of urges to eat food yesterday, but mainly because I had absolutely no energy by the end of the day.

I just wanted to feel energetic again, so I kept thinking about food. But other than that, I can deal with hunger quite well.

Today I have a bit more energy, but I wouldn't be able to do anything physical, since when I stand up I feel like my legs are very light.

My energy should come back by the end of the day or tomorrow. That's when I'll feel enhanced focus and concentration.

What's the reason I'm doing this? There are a couple of reasons actually...

I've been eating a lot of junk food lately, and I gained a little bit of weight. I did that to build more muscle, so I've ate anything that was in front of me.

I'm not fat or anything like that, but there's some unnecessary pounds that I would like to lose.

Also, I smoked some weed 5 days ago. I didn't smoke for a while, but I went out with my friends and they had some 420. We smoked 2 joints and then we used a pipe to smoke some more.

That was the most weed I've ever smoked in one sitting. I got quite high and it was fun, but I don't want to smoke weed because it affects my dream recall and makes me lazy.

So, I want to detoxify my body from all the junk food and the weed I smoked by fasting.

Plus, I usually fast at least one a month, but I haven't done it for a long time, so that's why I'm fasting for such a long time until Sunday.

I mainly did this once a month, because it has great benefits for your body and the brain. Also, I hope this will improve my dream recall and help me become lucid, since I'm flushing away toxins that might hold me back on this.

I Was a Viking!

Like I've said before, I didn't remember anything when I woke up. Not a single detail!

But, I went on with my day, I was just chilling out and watching some videos on YouTube, and the suddenly I started remembering one of my dream.

It just started coming back to me, and with each detail I remembered, I was able to recall even more.

Still, I wasn't able to remember as much as I would like.

I was a viking in my dream. I think I might've been Ragnar, LOL. I guess I watched too much of Vikings TV show.

Anyway, I had a whole army behind me and we were about to attack some sort of town. I ordered my soldiers to attack.

This town had a wooden wall around it. But it wasn't hard to get through at all. We got through the gate and also climbed through the wall as well.

There were so many of us! We killed all the soldiers that were guarding this town. Then I got into a castle, alone as far as I can remember.

There was this beautiful queen inside. I told her that she will be my wife, LOL. She had no choice but to agree with that, because she would've been killed otherwise.

I got out of the castle with this queen, but my soldiers didn't like this, because she wasn't a viking.

I don't remember much from here on out, but I do recall that we got back to our town and I've spent a lot of time communicating with this girl.

If I remember correctly, we were in love and all that, haha.

Some Dream Interpretations

I never normally did this before I started this journey, but I think it's going to be fun to check out what my dreams mean, since I'm getting more involved with them.

I don't necessarily believe the interpretations, but it's a great way to get even more immersed into the dream world.

In my dream I was a viking. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

Dreaming of being a Viking reflects your personality in your waking life. If you dream of being a Viking, it means that you are a very wise person and people look forward to talk to you. Thus, whenever someone tries to approach you with a hope to get your advice, never show him your back because he counts on your wise suggestions. (Source)

I'm wise! Haha... Well, a couple of my friends did say that I know a lot of things. I always watch videos about interesting stuff and I read a lot as well.

Since self improvement is really important to me, I always try to learn new things every day to maintain a healthy mind and add up some knowledge into my brain, LOL.

Next, I met a queen in my dream. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

The importance of the queen in your dream indicates that you will soon have an important venture. Queens are often representative of tough women and significant person. A queen is governing so it may suggest that the venture that you are undertaking is going to be important. (Source)

I couldn't really find anything very similar to what I dreamt about. The queen was scared of me, since I attacked her town and then I had her for myself. Basically make her my bitch, LOL.

It says in the interpretation that queens represent toughness and so on, but in my dream she couldn't do anything, since I was more powerful.

I guess I'd have to think about this and have my own interpretation. I did feel great about it and she felt great after the battle was over, when she was mine. So, I guess it's kinda positive?

I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12
