Rape by a man of God?
Two entities, one thing in common: rape. India has gained notoriety for rape and so is the Catholic Church.
The Catholic leaders don't want to be left behind in the game. One Bishop has been arrested for raping a nun 13 times.
Had it not been for the collective efforts of nuns, women's groups and activists, the rapist would not have been summoned to the police station. That's for sure.
The political parties were reluctant given the fact that the Christian community of the area made up a huge vote bank. One politician went to the extent of launching a character assassination media campaign against the victim. There's also a reported attempt to bribe to silence the victim. This is insane. They're using the tithe for such purposes?
Meanwhile, the Vatican embassy in New Delhi refused to comment. How convenient! Their silence is not for God!
Isn't the caste system inside the Christian group bad enough?
