A Sudden Enlightenment

When we step fully into the here and now, we recognize that aspect of our experience that is and has always been beyond time.

That essential 'beingness' which we can only characterize as "I".

And yet, while that essence is you, it doesn't belong to you.

It isn't your existence, or my existence or anyone's.

It simply is.

And it is, and it is, and it is.

No beginning, no end.

You could call this phenomenon the Self of the Universe. Or you could say there are no real Selves at all. They're both aspects of the same thing.

Recognizing this self as fundamentally what you are, you simultaneously see that everyone, and everything else, is 'that' too.

That recognition is called Love. It's also called Trust. It's also called Fearlessness. It's also called... well you get the picture.

This puts an end to the fear of death, and really the fear of anything.

And suddenly, all is well. :)
