Welcoming the Unwelcomed

The most frustrating thing for me has always been seeing a source of discord, of something nobody wants, and not being able to show others what's wrong. Whether it's my own inability to get these concepts across or another person's inability to comprehend...it's always been my biggest source of trouble.

"Everyone has their own perspective"

This is just logic, it does not reach the deepest levels of our being and often serves as an excuse for indifference, and not the kind of peaceful acceptance that I am seeking.

"So what?"

This is more like it. So what, someone else is 'part of the problem'? So what that their logic is faulty and they hurt others? So what I can't convince them? Is that any reason to let myself get upset?

Absolutely not.

Many would argue 'yes, we need to stop others with such destructive ideas'. But if they destroy your peace, you've already attracted the outcome that you fear. You lose your ability to create the world you want to see.

You also lose the ability to see that maybe you want something other than you thought. You lose sight of yourself. You just get further from peace, further from your deepest desires.

So what's the point in being triggered, other than to remind you that you are slipping up? There is none.

This kind of peace of mind is not something that you have a right to push on others either, that is more attachment to results. Whether or not someone takes this in is up to them and does not concern you if that person I'd not interested in hearing.

Those last words were for myself as much as anyone else.

I will try my best to welcome all things undesired and thank them for teaching me about myself while simultaneously telling them with confidence that they are not desired.

I'm excited to be alive.
