this is on the programme for tonight.

we are going to watch the game between Belgium and France at home but first we will have a small BBQ to get in the mood

Grilling really helps setting up the festive mood. There is an old colleague coming to visit and I will be cheering on for my country with people who's countries are no longer in the World Cup.

This is perfectly fine by me. Some company is welcome to watch this upcoming thriller.

It kind of seems it is no longer the World cup but the European Cup

This semi-final places France (who won the last time in 1998) against the 'golden generation' from the small neighbours Belgium.

Both teams were among the pre-tournament favourites, but only one can reach Sunday's final in Moscow and for me that is clear, it has to be Belgium.

I already have my old Devil horn hat ready and I know it looks silly but it helps them win. The Belgian Team have traditionally been called the Red Devils (hence the horns)

What the match is concerned,

• both teams have really good offensive players
• our golden generation is ready for the title, it is their time
• Belgium has a secret weapon: Tierry Henry is our assistant coach, he has been a player for the French team 123 times and won the world cup with them in 1998 and Europa league in 2000
• Martinez has turned the Belgian players into a team

Anyway:

The beers are cold and waiting, the TV is shining and the mood is set to positive
