Mikkelsen retired before final time control at Mexico

Hyundai works driver Andreas Mikkelsen (from Norway) decided with his team to retire before final time control. It is easy to explain: Mikkelsen finished outside of points by his own mistake.
Only top two drivers from each team score manufacturer's points and this weekend it was Neuville and Sordo for Hyundai. So there were no need for Mikkelsen to finish the rally at all.
Third and final decision why Hyundai retired his car is that they change some parts on the car (including engine) before the next event if the car didn't finish the rally without penalties.
And that's why they retired him from Rally Mexico.
To be honest, Mikkelsen didn't score points even on Power Stage when we know that he is 50/50% gravel and tarmac equally quick. It seems that he doesn't have a trust from his team that much as before when Michael Nandan was in charge as a team boss.
Mikkelsen won't be at Corsica so we will see what kind of results he will have in the next 10 rallies.
