Multiple Italian rally champion Andreucci injured and in hospital after testing accident around Sanremo

Ten times Italian rally champion Paolo Andreucci was airlifted to the hospital after a big accident while testing around town Sanremo.

Andreucci is a test pilot for Pirelli rally tires and that collaboration lasts for years.

So he was doing his usual job and tested a new compound of rally tires on the roads of Sanremo Rally with his Peugeot 208 T16 R5 rally car and went off on one corner. That was it. It seems that it was a really big accident when looking on the photo of the car. Whole front left (looking from the driver's side) is badly crashed.

And because of that impact Andreucci was so injured that he had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital.

It's very cool to see some driver driving fast but only drivers know how bad it is while having an off (or a crash if you prefer this word more).

I'll post some news when anything will be 'in the air'...

And yeah, I saw alive when he rolled his Ford Focus WRC from the bridge on the Bettega Memorial in December of 2001...
