Onboard rally video of the day - Mikkelsen with Hyundai on super special stage of Rally Turkey

Lots of new fans don't know what is the meaning of term SUPER SPECIAL STAGE... So, that's usually very short special stage, usually driven on tarmac, even if it is a gravel rally, made for the large audience to see cars from the short distance.

It's interesting to see super specials. They are on the program usually on the eve of the rally, before the real action even begin. Sometimes they are driven even in the middle of the rally days, but always to attract the public who doesn't want to go to the forest to see the rally action.

Sometimes you can see more people on the super special stage then on the whole day of rallying in the forests. People are lazy, they don't have will to go 100km into the forest, they would rather be on the stadium where the all action is. Also, you must have a real boots if you are on the gravel or snow rally. It's not that clean like it is when you on the basketball or a football game.

Rallying is for pure fans now when we don't have some top star like Colin McRae was 15 or 20 years ago. Ken Block is coming on Rally Catalunya and he is true star of motorsport but without top results in the World Rally Championship. We will see how he will drive there. I wanted to go to Barcelona to see the super special stage, which is on Thursday but I can't miss the work.

Back to super special stage of Rally Turkey...
When you will watch the onboard video, you will notice that it is driven in the dark (Thursday evening, eve of the rally) and on the tarmac (even the whole Rally Turkey is a gravel event).

You can see the donuts on the city street stage and also an artificial jump made for an action for the public.
