Picture of the day - Škoda Octavia WRC (back in a days) with flames from exhaust

It doesn't matter for me how old is some picture or from what rally - it only matters if I feel some adrenaline from it. And when you see a picture like this - from the real action, you know that pure pleasure is here and probably a maximum attack is around a corner.

Because Luis Climent is a driver on the picture, I have to say some things about him without looking anywhere on the internet because my brain is some kind of a rally wikipedia.

He drove a works Škoda Octavia WRC and kit car also (If I remember good) on Rally Catalunya because in that time, and it was around a year 2000, works teams used to give a third car to some local specialist just because of a marketing reasons. They always thought that locals will want to see their local hero and if they like the car, they could probably buy a road version of it.

That's why a works teams compete - just to sell the cars. No way they would spend money on nothing.

These days this doesn't exist anymore.
