Unbelievable rally gossip: Škoda back in WRC in 2020?!?

Some unbelievable news come from rally gossip and it says about possible return of Škoda in the World Rally Championship in 2020. They are very successful in R5 category with their works team and it would be cool to see them back in WRC after so many years.

Just to remind you that they quit WRC in 2005 after terrible results and even help from Colin McRae didn't help them.

On the last rally of the 2005 World Rally Championship in Australia, McRae was battling for the win with the weak Fabia WRC. I remember how happy I was to see McRae fighting again on the rally stages.

And in routine clutch change the team failed. They couldn't even that do properly.

Škoda left the championship officially but they came back first with the Fabia S2000 and later with the Fabia R5.

The gossip says that possible WRC car should be based on the new Fabia that would be on the market in the near future.

It would be cool to have another manufacturer in the WRC, don't you think? :)
