Where is Lebron Going?

in #sports6 years ago

So the NBA season has come to an end the Warriors strolled to there 3rd Championship in 4 years and there dynasty really doesn't look like its going to end any time soon, one ace in the pack however is where King James decides to take his talents. Lets have a look at what i think would be the two best options for him if his motivation was winning Championships.

Houston Rockets - So everyone out there knows that Lebron and CP3 are the best of buddys and with both free agents this year reuniting but this time on the court would be very appealing to both of them. I think Lebrons best chance to win a championship would be to go and join forces with CP3 and James Harden in Houston, now this would take some salary cap magic but imagine what that team could do. Houston took the Warriors to 7 games and had Paul not injured his hammy they may have well have gone to the Finals. Adding James to this mix makes them instantly better and ready to go all out against the Warriors again, how adding another ball dominant player like James would affect the team is a question id be looking forward to seeing the answer to.

Cleveland Cavs - Now this may surprise a few people after the Cavs just got swept but going back to the finals the best chance is through the East and most likely at the Cavs, Lebron is not going to Philly so we can wipe out that thought and staying in Cleveland is what his heart probably wants to do. To compete with the Warriors though they would need to get very creative with trades, and maybe bring CP3 from Houston to join his banana boat buddy. Paul and James together with some other pieces would sweep through the East with absolute ease, they would probably be one more star away from competing with the Warriors but thats what trade bait of Kevin Love and there number 8 draft pick could maybe go fishing for. I would love to see James finish his career with the Cavs but time will tell this Summer how it all plays out, either way its going to be fun to watch.

east might not be so easy with a health Celtics next year. and woah if Kawhi ended up there too!

Yeah thats actually a very good point in regards to the Celtics!

Another trash ass NBA Finals. Can't wait for free agency! I think he's going to weigh where his young boys and wife want to live a bit more. Maybe they'll want to stay in Cleveland. Houston would be ridiculous with LeBron, but I think they'd have to let go of huge pieces like Capela and Gordon to make it work. That or they just have a huge luxury tax bill. Maybe it's worth it.

Yeah to win next year his best option would be Houston, not sure how or if that is possible though, going to the Lakers i really dont see getting him any closer to a title.

Nope. He'd need to lure Paul George too to even think about it. The Lakers have the cap room for another star though! They always seem like a scary possibility to nab up big free agents but they've struck out hard the last few summers. I'm skeptical. How do you feel about Dwayne Casey as the new pistons coach by the way?

Im actually a huge Pistons fan i got a hat when i was a kid and followed them ever since, Isiah is the G.O.AT. I think its a good hire its the best option available, how it all goes will depend on whether or not Griffin and Jackson stay injury free though, it all seems a bit pointless now though as short of KD and Curry both getting season ending injuries i cant see the Warriors losing next year again!

Yea I remember you mentioning that on one of the old steemsports articles I wrote. Yea man. Warriors are invulnerable if the current NBA holds up. I think we are in store for a shakeup this free agency. And I saw a headline today that said Draymond will be asking for the max contract next summer. Doubt the GMs wanna give him that! Hope there's light at the end of the tunnel soon in this Warriors era.

What will be interesting, is to see whether he will take a pay cut to get another chance at that elusive ring (to help with the Houston Salary Cap squeeze), or will he stick with the mantra of Cash is King?

Yeah if he is after just cash it will be stay in Cleveland, i think thats probably where he is leaning but who knows!
