David Beckham statue hoax: Oh wow this is funny
I think there is a very good chance that you have seen this already but I just want to ensure that you do because this is absolute brilliance as far as pranks are concerned.

James Corden, whose show I don't actually like, spent a great deal of time and money to make an elaborate prank on David Beckham during an upcoming very important moment in his life. Beckham is about to be honored with a permanent statue in front of the L.A. Galaxy stadium in Los Angeles, and David hasn't actually seen the statue yet.
James Corden was aware of this and brought in a team to build a separate very unflattering statue and present it to Beckham as though it was the one that was going to be revealed to the fans the following day. This video is absolutely hilarious and testament to everyone involved especially David Beckham who, even though presented with a horrible situation, remains kind throughout the entire scenario.
He never flips his lid or tries to pull rank because he is a super celebrity. He is actually incredibly kind to everyone even though some of the actors are genuinely trying to get an adverse reaction out of him.
This brings me to a brief point: David Beckham is NOT the best L.A. Galaxy player ever. He barely played there. He is the best player to ever play for the L.A. Galaxy and certainly sold a lot of tickets with his presence and that is what sports are all about. All sports are about one thing and one thing only- making money.
In my mind the best L.A. Galaxy player ever would be Landon Donovan - and that is who they should be building a statue of but whatever... David played in 16 games or something for 12 minutes a match and sold a bunch of tickets...... and that's what it's all about!
Anyway. This is really funny and you need to watch it because Beckham is one of the most recognizable personalities in the world for sure. He carries himself with class throughout the entirety of this clip and if i was as rich and powerful as he is I don't think I could have done the same thing. It's 9 minutes... watch it!
I like the statue
I enjoy watching the carpool karaoke segments, but beyond that I don't watch his show. I don't really watch any late night TV to be honest. My wife and I get up pretty early each morning so we hit the sack pretty early at night. There is an occasional weekend we stay up later, but not that often :) This is pretty funny though. I know there are a lot of other people that might not have handled it as well!
I am not a fan of James Corden either but there is a series you have to watch. A league of their own US road trip. Just watch it.

Beckham is a star, many people started it because of the skill of playing football. He is also a good husband and father. Making a statue for him is very appropriate.

David Beckham's statue looks good. making jokes with statues I've never seen before. and I agree with you that Beckham is not the best la galaxy player ever. maybe because of the name that was widely known so that the statue was made.

Haha becks is a legend! Always loved him, he was my favourite player for years. The statue is hillarious.... have you seen the Cristiano Ronaldo statue they made of him? It wasn’t supposed to be a joke and looked really weird 😂 I think Ronaldo complained and they made a new one. Check it out if you haven’t!
