#35 NBA Basketball Surprises Year 2 Week 3 (Haas News)

in #sports5 years ago

The best performances Weekly! It’s Sunday and like every Sunday it’s time to discuss the NBA Surprises.
Welcome back to my weekly list! Can’t believe the season is on again. I really enjoyed making this series last week and I am happy to start sharing year 2!

Like every week I would like to share my take on the most impressive performances and players that surprised me.
I always take in consideration the teams play and winning streak, playing well individually but your team is not does not earn you a spot on the Haas picks list.. Ready for the top performers of week?
Here are my top performances.

Derrick Rose
Only one player needed to be on this list for sure! Derrick Rose! I never use this list to make my preference clear I just give the players a spot on the list, but to me Rose deserves to be on the first spot this week.
The youngest MVP ever is struggling for many years and I always ask myself what if he was healthy, he would have had such a great career. I was so happy to see him shine! And I loved his emotions afterword’s. I also loved the reaction in the NBA on his great game. He scored 50 points in 41 minutes. He picked up a small injury again, just love to see him do great.

Shelvin Mack
I always love it when role player step up and show that they are a great addition to the team. The Grizzlies are doing great so far and they are 5-2 for the season! will they make the play-offs? Don’t think so but a strong start always helps. I like the play of Temple but this week Shelvin Mack needs to be on this list this week. He scored 14 and 19 points of the bench and helped the team beat two play-offs teams in the Jazz and the Wizards.

Buddy Hield
Last week the Kings made it to the list and they are still on a roll. Calley-Stein scores his double-doubles and the team is on a five win streak right now. Will Sacramento finally turn it around? To soon still! But like Memphis a strong start helps. This week Buddy Hield averaged 25 points a game and even had 11 rebounds in one game. Let’s see how long they can keep up the play.
Small shout out to Jeremy Lin of the Hawks who scored 23 points against the Kings. Hope he is getting closer to normal skill level.

Victor Oladipo
He was most improved last year and I was interested to see what he could do this year. we are in week 3 now and he made it to the list! So he is doing just fine. He had a game winner this week and scored almost 25 points a game. Right now Indiana is 3th in the East right now so they perform better then Sixers and Boston so please do watch a game to see them play. They deserve your time!

Nerlens Noel
Steven Adams is great he is a beast and is a really good player for the Thunder, he will never be injured that’s how strong he is! But this week he missed a game and therefore Nerlens Noel had the chance to step up. He scored 20 points and posted 15 Rebounds! Really strong play.
The games after his strong performance he only played 9 minutes and he also played 17 minutes in a other game so he is a reserve, I am just very impressed with players who step up when they are called upon.
It also helped the Thunder that Patterson and Abrinas shooting is getting better to space the floor. Lets see if they can get a winning record.

Pacers are going to be a force in the east. It seems like people were still counting them out ore season.

Derrick rose had an amazing night. It was sad it was against the Jazz but I still liked it.

really happy for Rose, do like the Pacers, really hope the Raptors make it out of the East. Looked into tickets for the Jazz but flights are expensive, so will look into it again

Jazz tickets got expensive too. That really too bad because I wanted season tickets this year. I’ll have to save up and get them next year.

Nice, hope you can go for it! I looked into that too, saved some good money wanted to buy a season seat and enjoy the season. Cant work in the US so need good money to keep myself going. Would love to be part of it one day

Hi there
Nice read
Agree on Rose - looks like he is playing without pressure - nice to see him playing at high level and scoring - last night 31pt - raining 3s
Memphis and sacramento compete and play - no1 didint expect it
Victor continues strong this season as well
Nerlens Noel -this year could be his year - to show full potential - no pressure on him - just play bball
Giannis and Embiid worth mentioning

Thanks so much for stopping by! Keep your eyes out, Sunday the new list will be posted.
Go Raptors!
