Winning through the pain barrier

Once again a Kenyan athlete and Olympic Champion Conseslus Kipruto won the Men’s 3000m Diamond League steeplechase final in Zurich.

But he had to dig deep into his energy reserves to win under extraordinary conditions.

He lost his shoe earlier on in the race but through excruciating pain and admirable grit, he won the race but just ahead of a Morrocan who came a close second.
