Introduction of Steem Balkan Football Contest
Dear Steemians,
Inspired by @acidyo’s Steem Fantasy Premier League, @nanzo-scoop’s Soccer Sweepstakes contests, because of whom I have become an addict to Steemit platform, I have been thinking to create a similar prediction game.
Being an old school football fan it wouldn’t sound good for me to pay tribute to any of the big European football leagues. I will be focusing on the football which is being played in the region of the Balkans, an area which has traditionally produced world-class football players.
Football is the most popular sport in the planet, but in the Balkan countries this goes beyond to that as the old cliché, football is their religion sticks the best to the football fans from the Balkan countries.
The idea for making this kind of fantasy football betting contest with the clubs from the region came to me from the initiative to launch of a regional football league with the best football clubs from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Macedonia. Different suggestions has been given for expanding the league with teams from other countries like Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania could be invited to join. Personally, I am a big fan of this idea in any of it forms or variants and I would be very happy to see it happen.
STEEM BALKAN FOOTBALL CONTEST
A list of 8-10 matches per weekend will be compiled from the Croatian 1st HNL, Romanian Liga I, Bulgarian First Professional Football League, Serbian SuperLiga, Albania Superleague, Macedonian First Football League, Premier League of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegrin First League, Football Superleague of Kosovo.
I have adopted @acidyo’s SFPL match prediction game rules for running this contest. This means that the player(s) with most correct prediction outcomes will be declared winner(s) of the respective gameweek.
