Memories in World Cup days

  Hello everyone, today I want to share a short memory that fits in the best way to the current days when there are few days left for the final of the soccer world cup, less time to see who will be the new champion and everything is summarized in two teams: France and Croatia will face each other to determine which country will have the honor of raising the world cup.

   A few days ago, while I was cleaning my room, I found an old memory that perhaps served as a premonition for what would come in the next days, an old toy car, a van with some drawings, but this is not a normal vehicle.

  A mobile TV unit of a sporting event, but not any sporting event, we are talking about nothing more and nothing less than the soccer world cup held in France in 1998. The truck shows us on its side "Footix" who was the mascot of that World Cup, a charismatic rooster, (one of the national symbols of France) with the words "France 98" on his chest, carrying his loyal friend, a soccer ball. On the roof of the vehicle an antenna and a television camera which attest to their work as a mobile unit.

   The curious thing about this little toy that remind me some things of my childhood is that the host of that world cup is one of the two countries that are going to compete in the final of this year, and it is not too long to remember that in that occasion it was France who stayed with the title, when I found this car the actual World Cup was in the middle, although they were between the candidates, France was still far from playing the defining game, but now it seems as a real chance, will France stay with the world cup just as it did twenty years ago when Footix was one of the main protagonists of the party?

   As another coincidence, in that 1998 World Cup occurred the one that had been until that day the best participation in world championships of the other protagonist of the final to be played in a few days, Croatia finished the tournament in the third place. Already the team overcame its best record in his World Cup history and are one more victory away from being able to take the title home, will they be able to seal a perhaps repeatable, but unsurpassed, better participation in the World Cup?
