I don't think there is any chance that the Jaguars win the division this year. The division was much weaker last year with both Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson missing tons of games.
Also I don't think the whole defense wins championships mantra is as valid as it use to be. Even the best defenses get exposed by quality offenses. Look at the super bowl last year. Both defenses were highly ranked and they put up 41 and 33 on each other respectively.
Then you have to be honest with yourself and ask can the 4th best quarterback in a division win it? I emphatically say no. Blake Bortles will continue to hold the Jaguars back from their full potential which will be more noticeable this year against stiffer competition.
I humbly disagree. Mariota was healthy all last season. They will lose at least one or two games that they won last year, but their defense is that legit. And they did it without receiver help. Moncrief or Lee will be that for them. Luck is a shell of what he used to be. Watson is legit.
