Barcelona and AC Milan have continued to dominate the European Super Cup as the most clubs to win the title after Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid in the 2018 edition.

Atletico Madrid were snatched at the Super Cup this year after beating Real Madrid 4-1 in the evening.

Barça and AC Milan have five titles, four for Real, who have finished in third place in three titles, and Atletico Madrid are fourth on three occasions in a three-time partnership with Liverpool.

The five clubs won the title in years:

  • Barcelona: 1992, 1997, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

  • AC Milan: 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003 and 2007.

  • Real Madrid: 2002, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

  • Atletico Madrid: 2010, 2012 and 2018.

  • Liverpool: 1977, 2001 and 2005.
