The Heat is on! Twists and turn to Premier League table; shocking unexpected results, glorious victories and heart felt defeats. The pressure is mounting.
These are the previews and predictions for Gameweek 17:

Manchester City vs Everton

The Better Blues (Chelsea) stood out tall at Stamford Bridge, as Manchester City suffered their first Premier League defeat since April this year. Though they lack key players such as Aguero and De Bruyne they will stop chancing to end of the road to retain the title. Everton are team that they have had dominance over the past few years and will look to keep it going that that.

The draw to Watford saw Everton drop to 7th. Though they are in a better position than in the beginning of the season they still haven’t show any level of consistency since they started. Manchester City is tough contest as they want to fight their way back to the top.

Vote: Manchester City Win

Crystal Palace vs Leicester City

Crystal Palace fought hard against their London rivals West Ham but were unable to take them on. This did not diminish their confidence as they will continue to push on. They face Leicester City, who proven to be a stiff challenge to them in recent years. They can pull it off, but cannot underestimate the cunning Foxes one bit.

Leicester City did not pull off the performance they wanted against a strong Spurs side. They have been decent in previous years against them but will need to be in top form if they are able to take them on at Selhurst Park.

Vote: Crystal Palace Win

Huddersfield vs Newcastle

Huddersfield are wobbling back and forth between staying out of the bottom 3 and going back in. They currently sit at 17th position and need a win over a Newcastle side that is also looking very uncertain this season.

The castle is surely tumbling down for The Magpies, as they are winless in 3 and drop down to 15th in the League. The pressure will mount on them in this game against Huddersfield who could possibly burst out of the bottom 3 if they succeed over them.

Vote: Huddersfield Win

Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley

The Spurs are undoubtedly looking stronger since last defeat to Arsenal. They have the home advantage now and after jumping back to 3rd spot they will want to continue trending up the table.

Burnley may have just temporarily pulled themselves out of the bottom 3 due to narrow victory against Brighton and Hove. Tottenham will seek at nothing to get themselves up and will not allow Burnley to get in their way. Burnley have a chance to show that they are still worth the challenge if they pull of a solid performance, better yet, a win against this confident Spurs side

Vote: Tottenham Hotspur Win

Watford vs Cardiff

Watford cannot seem to break their winless streak, which is now up to 6. They are slowly sinking down the table and are currently 12th in the League. They host a Cardiff side that is slowly on the rise and will do what it takes to keep away from the bottom 3.

Cardiff pushed themselves away from the dreaded bottom 3 thanks to their deserved victory against The Saints. It still has not shown that they competitive in the league but this is stepping stone for them to progress. Watford are never an easy team to face when they have the home advantage. Cardiff need to be on their A game this time around.

Vote: Watford Win

Wolverhampton vs Bournemouth

The Wolves continue howling. 2 wins in a row pushing them up to 10th has given them a huge boost of confidence. Bournemouth are team that have performed both home and away and will not make it easy for the Wolves. A tough contest awaits them.

Bournemouth cannot count on misfortune this time around. It was poor display against Liverpool. Though they still have chance to turn good performances to wins they may down a key Player (Wilson) and could be in for something special in this game.

Vote: Bournemouth Win

Fulham vs West Ham United

Fulham have gone from slight improvement to bad again. They showed not means of salvaging anything against the Red Devils in the previous game. There is so much uncertainty about their competitiveness in the League. The pressure escalates as they face the Hammers who will look to destroy again in their 2nd consecutive London derby.

West Ham are simply radiating with confidence. 3 wins in 3 has pushed them close to the top 10 of the table (11th). This is their 1st encounter with their west London rivals since 2014, which did not end well for them. This will be a vengeful match for them.

Vote: West Ham Win

Brighton and Hove vs Chelsea

After glaring at the sight of top 10, Brighton and Hove slip down to 12th after a narrow defeat to Burnley. The home advantage against Chelsea will give them the opportunity to get back their lost confidence though they should be aware that Chelsea are oozing with it this time around.

The 2nd biggest win of the season after Arsenal. The Blues are surely floating above the clouds but only just. They are still 8 points from the top of the table and will really need to pull up their socks of they are to get back to being title contenders. They cannot afford to drop any more points.

Vote: Chelsea Win

Southampton vs Arsenal

Southampton are looking helpless. This is not looking good for The Saints, the players and their manager, who is constantly under pressure from the fans to change things around. They face a tough Arsenal side that are arguably, sharp and firing better guns than last season.

Arsenal are still looking great. They are still unbeaten since they encounter against Chelsea in September. The Gunners are aware that St. Mary’s is a formidable ground to play at, though they could put out a good performance against them due to their poor run of form.

Vote: Arsenal Win

Liverpool Team vs Manchester United

Thanks to win from Chelsea and brilliant performance against Bournemouth Liverpool are now the new League leaders. Manchester United are formidable opponents to them even at Anfield, though Liverpool have a bit of edge over them due to the Red Devils’ still, questionable performances.

Manchester United looked more sharper and brighter against Fulham and now face a tough contest away from home against Liverpool. Their record at Anfield has not been great over the years and will need to pull a stunning performance if they are to take on the current League leaders.

Vote: Liverpool Win
