Yates has a big frame at 6'5", but at only 250-260 lbs will need to bulk-up considerably before arriving in Salt Lake City. The Utes have been solid the past couple of seasons since joining the Pac 12, going 9-4 in 2016 and 7-6 last season. Recruiting more athletic lineman like Yates, fits the Pac-12 well, but he will most likely need some time to adjust to the riggers of big-time college football. None-the-less depth on the offensive line is always a welcomed asset for a program, and wrapping up the Henderson, NV product before the likes of UNLV or Nevada nabs him would be a nice signing.
