This weekend took place the Rally of Sardinia - Italy, seventh of the thirteen races scheduled for the World Rally Championship.
As usual, breathtaking scenery for this event that has now reached its fourteenth edition.

Questo fine settimana si è svolto il Rally di Sardegna, settima delle tredici prove in programma per il Campionato Mondiale di Rally.

The Nuraghe Loelle
This year (as every time), my friends and I decided to go and watch one of the twenty stages scheduled, the fourteenth, Saturday afternoon, Coiluna - Loelle near the town of Buddusò. It was a beautiful day. Perfect weather conditions! We came back completely dusty but it was worth it.
Quest'anno (come ogni volta), io e i miei amici abbiamo deciso di andare a vedere una delle venti tappe in programma, la quattordicesima, sabato pomeriggio, Coiluna - Loelle nei pressi del paese di Buddusò. E' stata una bella giornata. Condizioni climatiche perfette! Siamo rientrati completamente impolverati ma ne è valsa la pena.

Talking about final results we can say that all the Rally has lived on the exciting duel between the two drivers that seem to be the most serious pretenders to the final title: the Belgian Neuville and the French Ogier.
In the end managed to win the first one, for only 0.8 seconds! Congratulations to him. Ogier must instead settle for second place: for the third time in a row he finds an opponent capable of denying him the fourth success on the Sardinian roads (which would allow him to match the four victories obtained by his compatriot Loeb). On the third step of the podium of Alghero instead rises the Finnish Lappi, spaced almost 2 minutes (the first of the rest of the world). Here you can find the full results. Parlando dei risultati finali possiamo dire che tutto il Rally sia vissuto sull'avvincente duello fra i due piloti che sembrano essere i più seri pretendenti al titolo finale: il belga Neuville e il francese Ogier.

Da ragazzo seguivo le cronoscalate e qualche tout terrain ma un rally e sopratutto un WRC non l'ho mai visto dal vivo.
Poi nello scenario spettacolare offerto dalla Sardegna!!
