Rain or Shine has replaced their import
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters changed their import a few weeks into the start of the PBA Governors Cup.
Kayle Locke of Painters replaced Joel Wright.
The 25-year-old Locke is a player from Farmco of the Malaysian Pro League where Carl Montgomery also played the former RoS import who took them to the semifinals during the Commissioner’s Cup.
Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia said they asked Montgomery about Locke who graduated from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Plus an agent gave his name so they watched some of his games.
Rain or Shine is expected to join Locke as they face Magnolia on Friday.
They replaced Wright after he deliberately pushed Troy Rosario of TNT KaTroopa, which led to his taking a flagrant foul.
