After the decision to write about my BJJ progress again I was kind of excited to go training today.

At the moment I train at Tiger Muay Thai, one if not the biggest Muay Thai camp in Thailand

Usually I enjoy it a bit more to train in a smaller camp but the training times are a bit inconvenient for me at the moment.

The focus on todays training session were armbars from different positions.

Most went pretty well but from sidecontrol I still had some problems making the turn smoothly and not falling to far away of which would give me less leverage but overall I am happy with the session today.

Towards the end of the session there was some sparring as every session. Today it were 3 rounds, each 5 minutes.

Round 1 was with another white belt. I would say we are on the same experience or better inexperience level so it was really fun as we both could land a couple of submissions but also really exhausting.

I was actually already done when the second round 2 started and rolled with a blue belt. He was smaller than me so I could defend him off for a bit but could not start any attacks by myself. My highlight were that I could hold him done in sidecontrol for a while.

Round 3 I was more like a trainings dummy and could not do anything anymore really.,

I will need a bit longer to get used to the climate in Thailand again especially with the Gi.

Not sure if I will go to the evening session today or maybe just take a dip into the pool.

Excellent review @flipstar and I wish you to get used to the climate faster so that the workouts become more efficient!

thank you :-)

Hell yea! You are doing it.
I can live out my choke holds vicariously through you.

Keep posting this!

That is super cool.... wish I trained in Jiu Jitsu.... or any martial art... I just have street training from when I was a (ghetto) kid...

I really like this community simply because I find out a lot about Steemians I did not know before - so you are a real fighter @flipstar - great to hear!

I train more so I dont get totally fat :-)

Sehr sportlich mein Lieber :-) Klarer Resteem von mir .

Interesting. I do not like very much the struggles between two athletes but I admit that when I look at them, I try to understand the rules, although I am a neophyte on the subject.

does not every sport have struggle between athletes?

Looking forward to your posts. The humidity must be unbearable to get used to as you must just be sweating all the time.

If you don`t move you can get used to it...to a degree :-)

mma isn't really my cup of tea, but as long as you aren't getting your face smashed up and it helps keep the beer belly in check then all good :D

you have no idea how fat I am and how fat I would be without sport :-)

More like Mars bar than arm bar?
