THE INTERNAL FEELINGS FOR SHAKIB AL HASAN AS BANGLADESHI
Sakib is still a hero by our standard! He is not banned for match fixing, but, for not reporting the match fixing offer to International Cricket Council! He refused but he reported not! He doesn’t live in England or Australia! Any person living in Bangladesh, India, Srilanka and Pakistan would fear of his life if he names the members of the Match fixing Mafia syndicate. Who would give security to a player like Sakib Al Hasan if he had named them? Do you remember the South African Super Star cricketer, Captain Hansie Cronje? He got accused for Match fixing in the year of 2000. Cronje was banned from any involvement in cricket for life. He challenged his life ban but his application was dismissed. He was later killed in a plane crash where he was the only passenger. It is widely believed that, Cronje was murdered on the orders of a cricket betting syndicate and the theory was re-floated by former Nottinghamshire coach Clive Rice in the wake of the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer in March 2007. It was alleged that he was murdered to hide the truths behind match-fixing. Sakib Al Hasan accepted the allegation without controverting them! He doesn’t want to die like Cronje! So, ICC is in fact preaching all future cricketers, “Never fix a match! And if you think, you cannot bear the pain, don’t disclose such fixing offers to media”!
Feeling disappointed today! Not just because Sakib Al Hasan is banned, but for our incapacity to put ICC into dock as the principal offender! Rather ICC seats as the Judge and preaching honesty to the cricketers!! ICC is guilty of personally introducing the cricketers with corrupt people worldwide through T20 leagues! ICC should be given a highest degree of punishment for taking the good game of cricket to the Mafia in the name of IPL, BPL, CPL, PSL, Big Bash etc. Who own the T20 teams worldwide? Who sponsors the tournaments? Cricket is no longer a gentlemen’s game! Cricket is no longer a game of national pride! Cricket is played for the entertainment of wealthy rich men who cannot account for their illegally obtained filths!
IPL and BPLs are the forums where cricketers grow relationship/friendship/slavemanship with the men of dark world! This is like bringing the best “art film” actress into your bedroom for money! The national hero becomes a subservient to the moneyed men. If he declines to give up dignity he will not be sold in the auction. ICC is guilty of putting the prides to auction! ICC is guilty of putting cricket in auction! After selling the cricket to black money, ICC is preaching honesty worldwide? Preaching honesty to such extent that, it is not enough to refuse dishonest offers but it is also must to report the details of the offers?
Pity you ICC! Change your glasses and look at yourself first before judging the cricketers!
