The academy director, Neil Bath has been praised severally by Blues boss, Frank Lampard for his role in helping to develop so many young stars.
Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, two of the young players developed by Neil scored the goals in Chelsea's first win of the season, and the manager, Frank Lampard teased that he had beer with Neil Bath in appreciation of his contributions.

Lampard has been given many kudos for believing in youths this season after past managers of the club rejected the integration of academy stars into the first team squad.

The former midfielder has shown his immense gratitude to Bath for gifting him with so many well endowed players to beckon on, at a time when Chelsea are banned from buying players.

Lampard is giving chances that others didn't, but he doesn't want to be considered 'the saviour of the academy'. He feels that he is simply using the best players available to him and that it's just a very happy coincidence that many of those players have come off Bath's production line.

Neil Bath certainly has a lot of foresight and he deserves accolades. Lampard would have been in a deep shit.
