Basketball star Tyler Williams's story.

When Tyler Williams joined the basketball junior team, his father, Rick Williams, co-author of the book Managing the obvious, created a parenting score for his child. The scorecard was created to give Tyler the victory mark and to reduce the odds of failing.

He highlighted seven events that his team could take to success. If any one of the seven events is shown to be good, one score is awarded. Soon Tyler was a genius. According to this score, he drew a simple graph and hung it in his bedroom. He could easily see his improvement. He could also see other areas of improvement. By the end of the season, Tyler's chart was straight up. Tyler Williams was a great basketball player, without saying a single word from his coach or father.
