Nelson: The big players always help us

Reiss Nelson is one of our Academy players to come through this season. The 19-year-old featured in our Premier League opener against Newcastle and he played an important role in that match.

Nelson was also included in Burnley line up where he played the first 45 minutes before being substituted.

Nelson showed class in our match against Real Madrid during the pre-season and this perhaps gave the coach the confidence in the young lad.

Nelson put his performances on the great support he got from big players like Auba, Lacazette and our new defender, David Luiz.

It's a great feeling to have a lot of big characters in the team who are willing to help the younger players come through and help them do well.

David Luiz is one player the young lad praised more for his constant advice on what the player should do when it goes right or wrong.

Nelson and Nketiah came through this time around. While the later is on loan, Nelson still trains with the senior team and will probably get more minutes in Europa League championship.

With Pepe fully active in the team, Nelson's minutes on the field will drastically reduce but i trust Emery to get the best out of the young lad.
