There are people who say that shooting is a static, boring and / or emotionless sport... Is that why the English decided to reinvent it in a very unusual way?

#03. Pea Shooting
This world championship takes place annually (more precisely, every summer... as a tradition) in the United Kingdom. Its first realization took place in the 70's, in 1971.
The goal is simple: each competitor has to use his own mouth to shoot ammunition (which in this case is peas) at a 30 cm target that is located 4 meters away. The one who adds the most points by the proximity of his hits, is the winner.
There is no restriction whatsoever when it comes to the type of technology each competitor will use (this is a particular criterion), and this ends up considerably increasing the importance of sport because it is from this rule that various kinds of strange machines are developed to achieve the highest level of pea propulsion.
The sport may seem strange or unusual to many people, but it turns out to be a real show of technique, creativity and especially curiosity for everyone who participates in or just watch it.
