LYON CUT CABLE ON FEKIR'S LIVERPOOL MOVE

As a result of failed and un-concluded negotiations between Liverpool and the France club Lyon over Nabil Fekir, the latter club have announced that the forward will remain at Lyon.

The Lyon forward Fekir who had an impressive 2017/18 session having scored 18 goals and eight assists at the France league 1 club Lyon in the previous campaign has long been attached to a huge move to Liverpool.

Lyon released a clarification earlier this week, Friday 8th to disclaim the reports that the France international was on the verge of signing for Jurgen Klopp's Champions League first runners-up.

France national team shortlisted Fekir in their 2018 World cup 23 man squad, and on Saturday the French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet claimed the striker had undergone a Liverpool medical at Les Bleus' Clairefontaine training base.

The saga triggered Olympique Lyonnais to inform general public through their official website that the transfer negotiations with Liverpool on Nabil Fekir has not succeeded and that Olympique Lyonnais have decided to truncate the negotiation.
