Santos told his players they the key to beating Italy was pace

The coach of the Portugal National team, it has been revealed, told his players that they're needed paced to beat Italy.
This was their debut game in the league after seeing a draw with Poland the previous week.
The coach revealed during a post match conference that he had tole how players that they needed to up the tempo of the game to defeat Italy.
The coach further asses that he had assessed the qualities of both his team abd that of Italy. He said Italy has tried to spring up a surprise by playing with two strikers.
Coach Santos said that he looked at their game and saw that they should've been wins half time and some during the break, he told then, his players, to up their pace.
This proved to work as Andre Silva got the winning goal in the 48th minute of play.
There's some cause for worry though as Bernardo Silva and William Carvalho got knocks during the course of the game.
Portugal sits on top of their group ahead of Italy, who have played two games and Poland.
