Nick Nurse becomes Toronto Raptors new Head Coach
Reports from ESPN has it that the Toronto Raptors have chosen Nick Nurse to fill in the position of Head coach for the team.
After the Eastern Conference semifinal where the team was swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Toronto Raptors knew that it was time to make changes.
On May 11, the former boss of the Raptors Dwane Casey was fired. Casey has on three consecutive occasions led the Raptors to 50-win seasons.
On Monday, Casey got a new job as the coach of the Detroit Pistons.
Nurse, aged 50 is known for his offensive skills in the coaching role. In 2010-11, and 2o12-13, he won the D-League championship before going on to join the Raptors.
Nurse became head coach of Grand View College, at the young age of 23, thus breaking records to become the US youngest college basketball coach.
