Chelsea on FIFA ban

The football governing body FIFA yesterday have confirmed that they have received appeal from London side Chelsea on the ban sanctioned on the Club. Chelsea were handed a next two transfer window ban for breaching Fifa rule on signing under aged player categorized as teenager. Player under the age of 18 are regarded as teenagers and so not allowed to sign any professional deal with clubs until they are 18 years of age.

The ban was placed on Chelsea about two weeks ago but the blues have appealed against the sanction. Chelsea going the next season with access to signing both in the summer and winter window will be a big blow.

A levy of £460,000 was also fined Chelsea for breaching the rule. Fifa claims that the Blues have over 18 player whom Chelsea signed professional deal with and were under 18-years in the last three years.
