The legacy of Della / Rizki determines Indonesia's escape to the semifinals

Della Destiara Haris / Rizki Amelia Pradipta was tense with the fourth women's badminton team against South Korea. But they already knew the opponent was split.

Della / Rizki appeared in the fourth match as well as determining when Indonesia faced South Korea in the badminton quarter-finals of the 2018 Asian Games women's team. In the match at Istora, Gelora Bung Karno, Monday (08/20/2018), Della / Rizki fought the pair Baek Ha Na / Kim Hye Rin.

Indonesia was in a 2-1 lead position. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung won the first point after defeating Sung Ji Hyun with 21-13, 8-21 and 21-18.

Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu then secured the second point after silencing Lee So Hee / Shin Seung Chan with 21-18 and 21-17. But Indonesia then lost the third party after Fitriani lost 14-21, 21-8 and 12-21 from Lee Se Yeon.

In a decisive position, Della / Rizki did not deny there was tension. But they answered the challenge steadily: winning two straight games for Baek / Kim with a score of 21-19 and 21-15.

Surely happy, it feels amazing. Tense is sure to exist, only we choose to enjoy the game. "Usually Korean players often place the ball in a direction that extends backwards, the coach has reminded us to guard in this section, we have anticipated," Rizki said.

Della / Rizki from the start had already pocketed a gap from the South Korean pair. They continue to attack and do not want to give the opponent the chance to get out of the pressure.

"We did implement the full attack game because if it was slowed down a bit, they quickly advanced to the front side of the field. I don't want to smash it first," Della added.

Compared to other flags, we feel that Korea is the most open space, so we don't want to waste the opportunity, "Rizki said.

In the semifinals, the Indonesian women's team will face Japan who beat India with a score of 3-1. While in the other semifinals, China will be Thailand.
