Indonesia also passed three doubles to the second round of the 2018 Asian Games. Ricky Karanda Suwardi / Debby Susanto, Fajar Alfian / M. Rian Ardianto, and Amelia Rizki Pradipta / Della Destiara Haris set on 16.
In the match at Istora, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Thursday (23/8), Ricky / Debby made sure the place in the second round was over defeating the Nepalese double, Ratna Jit Tamang / Nangsai Tamang. Ricky / Debby wins easily, 21-13, 21-7.
In the next game, Ricky / Debby faced Dechapol Puavaranukroh / Sapsiree Taerattanachai from Thailand. Ricky / Debby has a positive capital by winning in Indonesia Open 2018.
Another Indonesian representative, Fajar / Rian has also secured a place in the round of 16. They got rid of the Mongolian pair, Khuvituguldur Byambajav / Batdavaa Munkhbat with a score of 21-4, 21-7.
In the second round, Fajar / Rian faces Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae from South Korea. Won Ho / Seung Je advanced to the second round after defeating Chen Hung Ling / Wang Chi-Lin from Taiwan.
