Badminton is a sport that is played by two people (for singles) or two pairs (for a double) that are opposite each other. This one sport is almost like tennis. While literally badminton comes from two words, namely fur and badminton. The word fur is taken from the shape or form of the shuttlecock made of goose feathers. While bad is taken from the basic word fend off. The essence of badminton is to fend off the movement of the shuttlecock (feather).

Regarding the origin and origin of badminton games, various opinions emerged. The first opinion explains that this game originated and developed in ancient Egypt in 2000 years ago. The next opinion said that this game came from India and mainland China. The development of badminton games is widely known by the world community in medieval times in England, namely from a traditional game of local children named Battledore and Shuttlecocks.

The 2019 Singapore Open Badminton Championship has entered the Semifinals. In this round, there are four Indonesian representatives who still survive and will struggle to qualify for the 2019 Singapore Open final.

On field one there is a mens singles, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who will be the first Indonesian representative to appear. Ginting must pass the challenge of the second seed from Taiwan, namely Chou Tien Chen, to be able to ensure a place in the final of the Singapore Open 2019.

After that Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo from the mens doubles number who represented Indonesia in the Singapore Open Semifinal 2019. Marcus / Kevin will serve the resistance of the Japanese mens doubles, Takeshi Kamura / Keigo Sonoda.

Still in field one, another mens doubles, namely Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan, who became the next Indonesian representative to appear. The 2019 All England champion will face the Chinese mens doubles who are also second seed, Li Junhui / Liu Yuchen.
