The fourth finish in Artistic gymnastics, Rifda promised to practice harder

Indonesian gymnast, Rifda Irfanalutfi, was in the top four of the 2018 Asian Games for the artistic number of the jump table. He was determined to train harder.

Appearing in the final artistic gymnastics number of the jump table which took place in Hall D of JIExpo Kemayoran, on Thursday (08/23/2018), Rifda only got 13,287 from the judges. That point turned out to be unable to make him win a medal. Rifda finished fourth from eight gymnasts who appeared in the final.

Meanwhile, the table jump champion was captured by South Korean gymnast Seojeong Yeo, with a score of 14,387. The silver medal is owned by Uzbek gymnast Oksana Chusovitina, after getting a score of 14,287 and bronze won by Rye Yong (North Korea) with a score of 13,875.

"I'm not disappointed. Even motivated to be even harder," said Rifda.

"It was the one who was reminded by the most trainer to improve his body shape and was a bit nervous," he added.

The 2017 SEA Games Malaysia gold medalist did not want to dissolve regretting the defeat. He immediately shifted his focus to appear in another number. Friday (08/24/2018), on the floor gymnastics.

"It's good to be even more excited. Adrenaline also rises, it should be better tomorrow," he said.

"God willing, when you hear the music is not nervous anymore. Maybe when you call the name, you are nervous," he said, then laughed.

"Preparations for tomorrow may be praying, praying, listening to music, and asking for the blessing of parents. God, tomorrow is smooth. You must be sure," he said.

"Moreover, this is also my way to a higher position. My goal is to go to the Olympics. So I have to train even harder," he added.
