Rio Ferdinand hits back at Paul Ince

The former Manchester United defender has replied reports that Paul Ince maintains that he could have had similar impact with the current Manchester United team.

Paul Ince is of the view that any player from his class like Steve Bruce or Mark Hughes would have had similar impact with Manchester United that Ole Gunnar is currently enjoying.

Indeed, Solskjaer’s Manchester United have lost just once in the Premier league in the three months he's been in charge. This has seen the Old Trafford outfit collect 32 out of a possible 36 points during the period.

Ferdinand does not believe it is mere luck though. He says Mourinho is one of the best coaches of the modern football era but couldn't lift the squad. David Moyes is a thorough Premier league manager but couldn't do it.

Ferdinand says it takes something special to lift the mood in the dressing room and also get the players to perform very well on a consistent basis.
